THE DARKSIDE DETECTIVE: RAINCOATS, MYSTERY AND OCCULTISM
A 'Twin Peaks' inspired adventure game with incredible big-pixel-art and fascinating dialogues.
The game design is at its best in this investigation where you play a detective looking for a missing girl. The humor is bizarre, the music bewitching and the minimalist gameplay is very well inspired.
So far, it's a demo version and there is no precise release date.

TERMITIA - SCIENTIFIC DATA MEETS FPS... THEY MAKE A NEST!
For those of you who loved "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" as kids, Science Animation has built a termite nest simulator.
As a shrunk human, you explore dark galleries looking for clues on what happened during the previous expedition. The mouse controls are way too sensitive and the game requires a strong graphic card to be smooth. But the atmosphere is incredible and gives a feeling of total immersion.
Everything is based on real scientific data so you will improve your zoological culture along the way.

ORION TRAIL - DO YOU REMEMBER GALAXY QUEST?
A delightful space exploration game with all the things you love about it: weird aliens, Star Trek's crew, crazy machines and pew-pews.
The graphics and music are perfect for the atmosphere and the D20 style gameplay is brutally honest - as, unlike most games, it shows the random mechanics at work. The thorough writing empowers the game narrative and delivers texts that you actually want to read.
For now it's a prototype but you need to back it because deep-down inside, you know you want it!

THIS BLOG... ONE MONTH LATER!
Almost a month after the first post, it's time to look back on what just happened.
I consider the launch a success, I have good feed back about it, I can hold a frequency of 4 posts a week and we went over 150 followers (that you can join by the way!).
You can also, share, subscribe, like, retweet and so on:

For the content, I still struggle to find a mobile game worth reviewing. Something that could be a good fit for our editorial line. As for now, FR is focused on experimental, unusual, innovative games and it seems that smartphones are not a good medium for those (the few exceptions are already widely covered). But if you have any suggestions, feel free to use the contact form at the bottom of this page or to send me a message through twitter.
Although some games have a Web/PC and Android/iOS version, I tend to use the not-handheld version.
Anyway, here are the highlights:

A stunning looking game made of drawings, paper, cuts and pastes (but for real!) and passion obviously.

DISPOSABLES
It's mayhem in the house and you need to clean it up before the cops arrive.
MOOON
An original platformer with nice puzzles to solve, fun level-design and an atypical Matissian design.

BREAK THE LIMITS! - THE STRANGE STORY OF A LOST MIND
An enjoyable interactive story with an haunting soundtrack and interesting mechanics
An unusual way to progress where every action allows you to access new possibilities and go through the story in what seems to be a weird dream.
Made for Ludum Dare 31, it's short but captivating.

OPOID - DO YOU LIKE MUSHROOMS?
A conceptual adventure game in an acid trip.
This glyph-hunting game is experimental, simple and vibrant all at once. Set in a radical duotone environment, the exploration is a bit tedious so you mostly go for both a visual and auditory experience.
